A Decision Tree specified in xml The tree in our example is simple and symetric and could be translated into simple sql. Non symetric trees would be more difficult to translate and could produce very complex and messy sql statements. A web merchant could use decision trees to suggest products related to a customer choice. It will be easy for their webmaster to create new trees to promote specific products using xml rather than sql. There is a link to the xml source on the target page of the form above.
